Introduction to the 2021 Theme for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

This is a short podcast from our founder Alexei Laushkin on next year’s Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. Alexei also does faith and formation work where he produces a regular podcast on faith formation that touch on ecumenical themes.

This podcast covers the origins of the Week of Prayer of Christian Unity (context article below) and the theme for 2021 ‘abide in my love and you shall bear much fruit (cf. John 15: 5-9).

The theme comes from the community of Grandchamp, a monastic community that brings sisters from different churches and countries.

They went through a multi-month process to discern the theme for 2021. A brief write-up of the theme and its process is also below.

Alexei discusses all this and how it might relate to our current moment of crisis with COVID-19 and more.
