The Kingdom Mission Society promotes films as a means for dynamic dialogue and encounter. These resources are meant to assist a local church or individual in sponsoring an event that will draw people together. KMS will work with you to make the program content and speakers diverse. Please contact us today if you are interested in hosting an event or consulting with us on one of our resources (click here to contact us).
Take a look at what we currently offer:
Peacemaking
Through a unique partnership with Unity Productions Foundation, KMS is able to screen The Sultan and the Saint which tells the remarkable story of St. Francis and Sultan Malik Al-Kamil, two leaders from two different faiths open to peace. The Persecuted Church
KMS is able to help host an evening of prayer and witness on the Persecuted Church. KMS features the stories of persecution in four high-risk regions of the world within the context of prayer and reflection. The service time runs one hour. Please contact us if you are interested in hosting this unique event.
Racial Reconciliation
Why does the church have such a difficult time with racial reconciliation? KMS hosts half-day symposiums featuring local speakers to kick off conversations on racial reconciliation. For a sample of a past event, click here. Please contact us if you are interested in hosting this unique event.
Refugees
What is the life cycle for a typical refugee family? What was life like before they became refugees, what is life like in a refugee camp, and what unique challenges do refugees face when they finally settle? This half-day symposium features local speakers and the stories of refugees. Please contact us if you are interested in hosting this type of an event.
National Workshop for Christian Unity
Kingdom Mission Society co-leads the Consortiums of Evangelicals and Pentecostals for Christian Unity (CEP) track at the National Workshop for Christian Unity. The National Workshop is the oldest and largest gathering of Christians representing four significant streams of the church in the Roman Catholic Church, the Episcopal Church, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and the United Methodist Church and affiliated networks. KMS seeks to raise funds to support ‘first-time’ ecumenists to this national gathering. These first-time ecumenists would join the CEP track for the workshop and receive a two-day intensive training and three days of demonstrated high level dialogue. If you are an evangelical or Pentecostal ecumenist and want more information, contact us directly. If you’d like to support up to 50 ‘first-time’ ecumenists please make a direct contribution here. The next workshop is April 2nd-5th, 2018 in Silver Spring, MD.
Rome-Assisi Pilgrimage
Join us for our yearly five-day pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi. This ecumenical gathering is open to any leader with a call towards Christian ecumenism. We spend three days in Rome visiting the Vatican, the various Pontifical Councils, and experiencing relationships with Roman Catholics and Christian Orthodox. Come see some of the oldest churches in the world. Included is a two-day stop in Assisi where we learn about St. Francis as an inspiration for ecumenical mission. (Contact us for more information).
