Job Title: KMS Partnerships Manager

Kingdom Mission Society [a 501(c)(3) charitable organization], a ministry dedicated to Christian Unity and Reconciliation, is looking to hire a full time Partnerships Manager.

Position Summary:

The Partnerships Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day meetings for KMS Dialogue Initiatives.

Ideal candidates should be able to take initiative and work independently and have had some previous experience (3-5+ years or equivalent) in dealing with diverse people and professional initiatives. Might have a background in racial justice, inter-religious work, and/or coalition-based work in multiple states.

Start Date: April 2018

Position Type: Full Time, 40 hours per week.

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position includes three major responsibility areas:

  • Partnership Meetings (Be available for all phone and in person coalition meetings etc.)
  • Develop State Based Partners (Be wiling to travel and to familiarize oneself in the work so that state based partners can be cultivated etc.)
  • Education Development (Assisting Executive Director with education development in particular areas of engagement, looking for evidence based ways to explain complex systems, have some background in Christian theology etc.)

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in coalition management work
  • Familiar with the Democratic Policy Making Process
  • Proven interpersonal skills and relationship cultivation
  • Some developed theological background
  • Very skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and represent ministry in professional settings
  • Strong speaking skills and ability to present before groups
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to focus

The Communications Associate will be responsible for the day-to-day communications and for developing graphic and video content for KMS public education and dialogue work.

This position includes three major responsibility areas:

  • Public Education (taking a lead on graphic design creation for our Pray, Reflect, Take Action model of engagement on Christian Persecution, Reconciliation, Refugees, and Social Safety Protection Floor)
  • Dialogue (Taking a lead on graphic design creation and material formatting for our Ecumenical and Peacemaking work)
  • Communications and Editing (Being able to edit material that will be posted on the website or other communication platforms and edit reports as needed)

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 4 year experience that covers graphic design creative content and some editing of material
  • Excellent desktop publishing skills and eye for good design and presentation
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and ability to master quickly
  • Excellent writing and copy-editing skills
  • Strong Writing Skills
  • Close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to reliably work independently under tight deadlines, juggling multiple tasks and ability to self manage and set expectations
  • Familiarity with email design / email management (e.g., Constant Contact, MailChimp, Marketing Cloud, or other platforms)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Preferred

  • Experience with website administration and/or content posting (e.g., Drupal, WordPress, or other CMS’s)
  • Experience with communications efforts targeted to domestic and international audiences

Position Summary:

The Office Administrator will be responsible for assisting in day-to-day administrative duties, in-house accounting, team meeting logistics, and staff support.

The ideal candidate might have worked as an administrator for a house of worship or may have extensive background experience with non-profits and is looking for a part time position for the longer term. This position requires a diverse skill set and the ability to work from home.

Position Type: Part-time, Seasonal, 10-15 hours per week.

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position includes three major responsibility areas:

  • General Office Administration (managing staff calendars, booking meetings, ordering supplies, making copies and printing material, mailing material, filing, etc.)
  • In-House Accounting (Basic bookkeeping, tracking expenses, preparing basic report, recording time reports etc.)
  • Basic Development (Assisting Executive Director with some event planning, mailings, data entry, etc.)

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor or Associates degree
  • Minimum 2 year experience as administrative assistant, office manager, or other clerical work
  • Accounting & bookkeeping experience, experience with QuickBooks highly preferred
  • Data entry experience,
  • Very skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Strong writing skills
  • Event-planning experience and ability to problem solve with minimal supervision
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to focus
