The Reverend Brenda Girton-Mitchell is an ordained Baptist minister, attorney, and former director of the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships at the U.S. Department of Education. She started her career as an elementary school teacher before serving in a wide range of leadership roles in education, the civil rights community, and the church. Rev. Girton-Mitchell is a widely respected speaker, trainer, and community-builder dedicated to fostering racial understanding, healing, and reconciliation.
